The AMY Foundation is pleased to share that Alexander Jacob T. Yao, Founder of the Youth Volunteers of the foundation, had partnered with Incognito, a fundraising campaign that Jacob co-founded with a god-brother.
Jacob helped launched a grassroots fundraising campaign the past year and a half to be able to purchase 100 tablet computers for marginalized public high school students in Dipolog City as schools across the Philippines shifted to online learning. Together with his godbrother, Jacob was able to raise Php500,000 (approximately US$10,000) for the tablet computers. Jacob also actively secured cash donations for the student beneficiaries’ prepaid internet access cards.
Jacob had also created information collaterals and conducted virtual seminars to educate the student beneficiaries and their families on Covid-19, with emphasis on practical health safety protocol guidelines mandated by the Philippine Department of Health.
Lastly, taking inspiration from the foundation’s Balik Eskuwela Program, Jacob assisted in launching a donation drive for school and art supplies for the student beneficiaries of Incogito.
