“The darkest nights produce the brightest stars”

The darkest nights produce the brightest stars”

Every person has a lot of dreams in life as you go on the process of achieving these things; you’ll experience a lot of ups and downs that will test how strong you are.

It is still clear in my mind those days before I enter college. I was afraid. I was reluctant. I was unsure if I will be able to pursue it or not.

It was a very tough ordeal as to how my parents would make both ends meet during that time. But with fervent desire, I still pushed through with what I want.

So, I told myself, that I have to change and turn all those fears and doubts as driving forces for me to keep going. I fit tightly on what one of my teachers always says, that “if I could imagine it, it could be achieved

I value education so much. I asked myself if I could really go to college since my father (Carlos Lacanlale) is a construction worker and my mother (Dolly Lacanlale) is a housewife only.

Back in my fourth year high school, I dreamed of entering a university but because of our station in life, I didn’t make it. I thought I couldn’t continue my studies until a bright light shone upon me that gave me hope.

My dream was made possible because of Alfredo M. Yao (AMY) Foundation partnered with my determination and hard work. The foundation is not just a simple program that helps those students who are willing to study but a sunlight that beams to those flowers (students) who are about to wither (lose hope).

Now, I am professional teacher who enlightens students and gives them knowledge.

Big thanks to Mr. Alfredo M. Yao, the founder of AMY foundation. Sir, you were my aegis as I traversed the rough roads of my academic pursuit. The foundation was there when I was working in building my career. Today, I have nothing but a grateful heart to this foundation.

Hard Work Pays Off

“And as a proof of the saying that “hard work pays off” I graduated as a Cum Laude and took an oath as a newly passed Certified Public Accountant. All of this was made possible by this Foundation. Words are never enough to show how thankful I am, so instead, I promised to pay the blessing I received forward, to help another youth who is a victim of unpleasant circumstances to achieve his dreams through studying.”
