Recognition Program for Scholarship Donors

The annual gathering to recognize all scholarship donors and student benefactors of Philippine Normal University (PNU) once again took place at Geronimo Pecson Hall inside the school campus on February 27, 2015.

Being one of the benefactors present during the program, AMY Foundation, Inc. has been awarded with a Certificate of Appeciation and was received by the Foundation’s Coordinator for Volunteers, Ms. Luningning T. Ramos, on behalf of the Foundation.

AMY Foundation has been in partnership with PNU since 2007 in granting scholarships to the economically deprived but academically deserving students of the said university. Currently, AMY Foundation has a new set of scholars enrolled in various courses in PNU for the SY 2014-2015.

“The darkest nights produce the brightest stars”

I value education so much. I asked myself if I could really go to college since my father (Carlos Lacanlale) is a construction worker and my mother (Dolly Lacanlale) is a housewife only. My dream was made possible because of Alfredo M. Yao (AMY) Foundation partnered with my determination and hard work. The foundation is not just a simple program that helps those students who are willing to study but a sunlight that beams to those flowers (students) who are about to wither (lose hope).
